Frequently asked questions

How soon will I see results?


You will see results after doing Pilates consistently in just a couple of weeks. You will be stronger, have better posture, aches & pains will resolve, and you will be more flexible. Daily life activities get easier. We recommend coming 2-3x a week to see maximum results.




What do I need for class?


Just bring yourself and a water bottle! We don’t wear sneakers, but socks are required. Bring your own or purchase from the studio. Additionally, we suggest wearing leggings, bike shorts or something you feel comfortable moving around in.




I've never done pilates before.  Where should I start?


For newbies we recommend coming to our Reformer Flow class or beginning with a private one-on-one session. Our instructors will introduce you to the basic movements and principles of Pilates at a slower pace. You will catch on in no time.




What if I have injuries?


Please let your instructor know if you have any injuries. This is very important, so we can give you the proper modifications.




Can I come to class if I'm pregnant?


Yes, we love when pregnant women come to class! Pilates is the perfect exercise regime to take you throughout your entire pregnancy. Please bring a doctor’s note confirming you are cleared to take class and we will make necessary modifications.




What is your cancellation policy?


Cancellations can only be done through the MindBody app. We require 12 hours’ notice for changes or cancellations made to group classes and 24 hours' for private/duet sessions. You will be deducted a class from your package or membership for changes made after the allotted time period. Late cancels made on Unlimited Monthly packages will result in a fee of $16.00




How late is too late?


Please be on time! Out of respect for others in the class and your safety, we cannot admit clients after the start. All sessions are 45 min regardless of arrival time.

For your first class at The Body Lab, please arrive early to fill out our client questionnaire and liability waiver.




Are there any safety concerns?


Please let us know about health issues or anything that you think may affect your workout with us. All fitness equipment has its safety concerns, especially if used improperly. Please do not use equipment without your instructor present.




What is your refund policy?


All sales are final, non-refundable and non-transferrable. Auto-pay memberships are charged on the same day of every month from the time of sign up. If you need to cancel your monthly auto-pay membership, you must give 1 month notice in writing sent via email. Auto-pay memberships can be frozen twice per year. Additional freeze requests will be charged a $25.00 fee. Freeze requests must be submitted in writing via email.




How is COVID-19 affecting The Body Lab?


While our studio grand opening isn’t how we imagined it to be, we are proud to open our doors to the greater Burlington community in a limited capacity. The health and safety of our clients and staff is top priority. With that said, we are opening a Phase 1 approach on Monday, June 8th, 2020 with a modified schedule and limited class size. Our top priority is to make the studio safe while giving you a kick ass workout. We can’t wait to meet you!
